Nike Dunk High Ambush Black White

The Nike Dunk High Ambush Black White has a basic color-blocked white and black leather upper (a style reminiscent of the first Nike Dunk releases in 1985) as well as an oversized Swoosh that extends past the heel. An elevated heel counter with noticeable separation on the rear of the shoe, displaying a greater amount of white leather panelling, and an expanded black plastic unit with Ambush branding wraps the heel to distinguish this design from classic Nike Dunks in addition to the reimagined Swoosh. This design is finished off by an exposed foam tongue, a white sole, and a tongue tag with both brands.

The Nike Dunk High Ambush Black White, created in collaboration with Tokyo-based fashion brand AMBUSH, gives the Dunk High design an abstract twist. A homage to the expanded tailpipes and raised rear chassis of motorbikes and trucks is made through features like the enlarged Swoosh and pronounced heel counter.

Released as a collegiate sneaker, Nike Dunks can now be found on the feet of celebrities and commoners alike. Limited editions like the Off White Dunks, from the 2019 collab between Nike and Virgil Abloh’s design label Off-White, further cemented Dunks’ place in sneaker folklore.
