Nike SB Dunk Low Concepts Purple Lobster

In a monochromatic purple shade, the Nike SB Lobster Dunk Low sneaker makes a comeback. The Nike SB Concepts x Dunk Low 'Purple Lobster' is a tribute to Concepts' cooperation with Nike SB. The revived version has the same premium leather upper, picnic-inspired checkerboard pattern sockliner, and rubber band wrapped around the toe box as the original 'Red Lobster' design from 2009.

The premium upper of the Nike SB Dunk Low Concepts Purple Lobster is made of Voltage Purple leather and nubuck, with white accents on the double Swoosh backing and the white tongue. The interior lining of these, like all prior Lobster Dunks by Concepts, features a chequered tablecloth design. Rubber bands like the bands seen on lobster claws are put on each toe as the last trademark lobster accent. The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low Purple Lobster debuted in December 2018 with a limited-edition Concepts ice box, followed by a larger release in a normal Nike SB box.

Nike took note of the love skaters had for the Dunk and finally in 2002, introduced the SB Dunk, re-engineered for skating with features such as more padding and better traction. The SB Dunk became a canvas to try out offbeat color combinations and unusual fabrics like pig suede.
