What Is the MoonSwatch?

The MoonSwatch is a collaboration between Swatch and Omega, first released in 2022. It replicates the silhouette of Omega's legendary Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch - the chronograph worn on the moon in 1969 - in a 42mm Bioceramic case. Bioceramic is a compound of two-thirds high-tech ceramic and one-third bio-sourced plastic derived from castor oil. It is lightweight, highly scratch-resistant, and hypoallergenic. The movement is a quartz chronograph - not the mechanical calibre used in the original Speedmaster. The three recessed subdials at 2, 6, and 10 o'clock, the tachymeter bezel with its signature "Dot over 90" detail, and Super-LumiNova on the hands are carried over directly from the Speedmaster design. The watch is water-resistant to 30m and comes on a Velcro textile strap.

Which Mission Should You Buy?

Each watch is named after a planet or celestial body in the solar system and colour-coded to match. The case, dial, bezel, subdials, and strap all follow the same colour theme per mission.

Standard Missions (Rs. 31,999-34,999):

• Mission to the Moon - Grey case, black dial and bezel, white hands. Closest to the original Speedmaster Moonwatch aesthetic. The reference point for the collection.

• Mission to Mars - Red case, white dial and bezel, red hands. The most recognisable colourway in the range.

• Mission to Mercury - Dark grey case and dial, black bezel and subdials. The most understated, monochromatic option.

• Mission to the Sun - Yellow case and dial, white bezel and subdials. Bold, high-visibility colourway.

• Mission to Venus - Pastel pink case, two-tone pink and white bezel, white dial. The most popular women's-leaning colourway.

• Mission to Earth - Green case, green and white bezel, white dial. Available in standard and Earth-themed variants (Lava, Polar Lights, Desert).

• Mission to Jupiter - Beige case, dial, and subdials with orange hands. Low-key, neutral tone suited for everyday wear.

• Mission to Saturn - Similar to Jupiter, light beige palette.

• Mission to Uranus - Light blue-green case and dial.

• Mission to Neptune - Blue case and dial, one of the most worn colourways alongside Moon and Mars.

• Mission to Pluto - Purple-grey case and dial. Subtle and less common than the inner planet editions.

Special Editions (Rs. 37,499-79,999):

• Mission to Moonphase Snoopy and Snoopy Black - Feature Snoopy astronaut illustration on the subdial and strap, nodding to the real Snoopy Award Omega received from NASA. Among the most sought-after pieces at CDC.
