Jordan 1 Low SE Crater Grey University Blue

Although the Air Jordan 1 Low lacks the cachet of its taller sibling, it has allowed NIKE, Inc. to bring some of its more experimental designs to a wider audience. The low-top silhouette on the Jordan 1 Low SE Crater Grey University Blue used is recycled Nike Grind material. The upper's mix of materials creates a mostly neutral look, but the collars, tongue branding, and "haphazard" stitching at the profiles add a splash of vibrant "University Blue" to the mix.

The Jordan 1 Low SE Crater Grey University Blue’s most striking features, however, are those made with up-cycled factory floor scraps as part of the company's "Move to Zero" initiative: everything from the toe box and heel fabric to the sidewall logos features a grey and multi-color look made possible by the grinding down of excess materials collected throughout Jordan Brand and Nike's manufacturing processes.

The Air Jordan 1 Low was originally released in several colourways, mirroring the High releases and served as a casual take on the signature high-top. Apart from basketball players, there was another group who immediately took to the AJ1 Low – skateboarders. The skateboarders found that the low-top was more comfortable for tricks.
